The next chapter of my story.
Week 1 down, forever to go. What a perfect time to introduce my new site and blog! Welcome! I'm so happy you're here.
I'm a storyteller. Though, the way I tell stories has looked different in different seasons. As a broadcaster, I told sports stories on TV. With PS46, I get to help women tell + wear their story with my hand-stamped jewelry. And now with this blog, I'll get to share my story with all of you as I transition from broadcaster to business owner.
For four years I lived out something I'd dreamt about. Microphone in hand, I got to talk about sports, interview athletes and cover the teams I grew up cheering for. Broadcasting rescued me from the frustration and lack of identity that came with the end of my collegiate basketball career. I didn't know who I was without playing the sport I loved and broadcasting gave me something new to be passionate about. I was able to stay close to the game while learning a new skill, setting new goals and chasing a new dream. With four years of stand-ups, press boxes, sidelines, highlights and studios in the books, I'll forever be able to look back on incredible memories with a feeling of accomplishment and a love for that season of my life.
This week was the start of the next chapter of my story.
Entrepreneurship is in my blood. Both my parents and grandparents have each started and ran their own businesses. And for as long as I can remember, I've loved hearing their stories and learning from them and the lives they built for themselves. This week I joined them as a full-time business owner. I admittedly went into Monday with some fear and nerves, but also so much joy. I get to step further into God's plan for me and I can't wait.
Whether talking into a microphone or stamping jewelry with a hammer, I'm honored by the number of people who have allowed me to share their stories.
This week I've soaked up my new lifestyle, starting my work day in my pajamas on the couch and setting my own schedule, all while learning about + working all day on something I love. I'm so excited for what God has next for me and PS46. And I can't wait to take you on this journey with me.
